We loved our stay here. The place has been nicely updated (our friends stayed in another unit and were envious of this one), the view from the lanai is wonderful, and the bed is really comfortable. My kids are small (6 & 8) and found the sofa bed to be fine. The washer and dryer is not in the unit, it’s about two doors down, but is free and we never had to wait to use it. Having two full bathrooms was a plus.

The Whaler property is very pretty and easily walkable to restaurants, Whaler’s Village, surf lessons, etc. We snorkeled there, had a great massage at the spa, and enjoyed the friendly staff.

I highly recommend this rental.

The experience begins when you place the first phone call to Maui Beachfront Rentals. Michelle is so pleasant, helpful, and professional!

We requested unit #315 at Maalaea Bannyans What a great location!  The ocean view from the third floor is amazing! Not to mention, during whale season you can watch the mother whales with their babies, teaching them behaviors. So fun! From the lanai, you can see miles of Maalaea Bay and across the Bay is the south shore and the majestic Haleakala with moon rises and cloud formations that
change all the time.

Unit #315 is clean, comfortable, and has everything you need.  My husband Rory and I had a relaxed, enjoyable fun time, while we were there.  We had our little three year old grand daughter visit us, and we watched the turtles come right up to the shoreline to feed on the seaweed. We will return to Maalaea Banyans unit #315 again, and enjoy another wonderful stay!

If I could rate more than 5 stars, I would. I stayed in Unit 159 at the Whaler and it completely surpassed my expectations. The pictures on the listing did not do it justice. The unit and the complex were in the perfect location. It was literally right next door to the Hula Grill and Whaler's Village. It took me less than 2 minutes to walk to the beach from the unit. I loved being able sit on the patio and watch the ocean with my morning coffee or my evening glass of wine. The unit itself was immaculate and fully stocked with everything I needed. It even had a beach umbrella, beach chairs, and boogie boards.

The Whaler Complex also has tons of equipment to rent for snorkeling and stand up paddle boarding. I appreciated being able to do laundry, which was conveniently located across the hall. The bed was very comfortable, and the unit was quiet and dark, which I was pleasantly surprised by.

This was a last minute booking, and Maui Beachfront Rentals were very responsive, friendly, and easy to work with.

I look forward to visiting again. A true gem!

The Whaler Unit 523 was awesome! Very spacious, incredible wrap-around balcony with spectacular views of the ocean & mountains, perfect location on an amazing beach & close to many restaurants. Three adults & 2 teenagers stayed here for 8 nights very comfortably.

We walked the beach path right outside the condo almost every morning. Pool area was very nice, although we never used it, as it was usually pretty crowded. Entire complex & grounds are very well maintained & very updated. Grill area was fantastic & we cooked several meals at condo & enjoyed eating on the balcony. Plenty of towels & dishwasher detergent, toilet paper, etc were provided.

It was a fantastic vacation & we feel that we’ve discovered the perfect condo for our family to return to in the future (hopefully)!

Each year, my wife and I, along with my son, daughter-in-law, and grandson, spend a couple of weeks at the Kaanapali Allii in a condo.

The grounds and the pools are kept immaculate. This property is at a prime location. It is a short walk along the beach to Whaler's Village and a 10 minute drive to Lahaina. The sunsets there are absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend this property for a family stay.

Really nice condo in a great location (Kahana). Nice kitchen and living room downstairs. Both bedrooms and bathrooms are upstairs. Located on the top floor of the building...nice view from balcony, and overall, nice and quiet. The air conditioning worked well for the unit (although a tad loud). We will definitely return to this well maintained, spacious and well located 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo.

We absolutely loved our week-long stay at the Whaler Resort Kaanapali condo 573 in early July and hope to return to this property. The beautifully decorated, immaculate, spacious and airy condo exceeded our expectations in every way -- it is even more lovely than the photos show.

On our early July stay the weather was quite warm and the air conditioning was a welcomed feature for sleeping at night. The family particularly enjoyed the wrap-around and breezy lanai, where we had breakfast each morning. The lanai provided nice privacy with a view of the mountains from one side, beautiful trees (and rainbows!) and a peek at the ocean from another side.

We chose this property because we were visiting Maui with our 16 year old granddaughter for her birthday. She absolutely loved having her own spacious bedroom with a slider to the wrap-around lanai and she felt really special.

We ended each day with a soak in the lovely large pool and hot tub.

Another nice feature of this condo is its proximity to the Whalers Village. It was perfect and a welcomed amenity that this shopping mall was a five minute walk from the Whaler Resort ... providing us with all kinds of restaurants, shops and services we would otherwise have to drive to. We fell in love with the Hula Grill where we enjoyed three happy hour dinners sitting at a beach front table in the sand and watching the sunset. Whalers Village also had a very nice convenience store to purchase any items needed during our stay (without having to drive).

We highly recommend this exquisite condo at the Whaler Resort and can't wait to return to it.

Lastly, each and every encounter we had with the Whaler Resort staff during our stay was positive, friendly and helpful.

Our family just spent 10 days in The Whaler, unit 1201 and I cannot say enough wonderful things about it. There were 7 adults - my husband and our 2 girls (24 and 20) stayed in the room with 2 queen beds, my sister-in-law and her husband stayed in the king bedroom and my 18 year old nephew had the study with the murphy bed - perfect and plenty spacious for all. The unit itself was fantastic - clean and not dated at all - gorgeous furnishings, cabinetry and artwork indicative of Hawaii, top of the line appliances and countertops.

There was nothing we didn't have provided for day-to-day living - all cookware, kitchen cleaning items, washer/dryer, plenty of towels for several days without washing - all carefully and thoughtfully planned out. I was worried about the air conditioning given that the unit is flanked by windows on all sides but it was great - electric sun shades can be lowered during the day when you're not there to cut down on the heat, so it was never an issue. The views were spectacular - we sat out every morning and evening and got much enjoyment from large the patio areas.

The Whaler location is perfect too - walking distance to the best shopping and plenty of restaurants and quickie eating places in one direction - access to parasailing and snorkeling trips in the other. Only had to use the concierge once but she was very helpful with my inquiry about how/where to get pineapples to ship home. The grounds of The Whaler were lovely and all staff we encountered were so friendly and eager to assist.

If you're daunted by the price of the unit, don't be - we did ALOT of research, and if you have a large family and try to find accommodations for all, it is right in line with what you would pay at any of the other beach front resorts we looked into - and a higher quality than most all. Would absolutely return to this wonderful place!
